This product has been a game changer for us in our sales process. It has saved us countless hours of time and labor when building estimates and working with clients during the sales pipeline.
Sharon Johnson - Director of Sales & Marketing at Carlson Airflo
Carlson is known for their innovative products in the grocery space that address merchandising opportunities. They are known for providing merchandising solutions in the refrigeration space for difficult products.
Carlson came to Dopple looking to build one of their case selling refrigeration units in 3D to aid their sales team with a visual representation of the complex solutions possible when purchasing this product for stores.
Carlson Airflo can build a custom case depending on the unique needs of the customer. They wanted to build out one of their most popular cases to see how it would improve their sellers' experience working with customers, and their engagement with prospects at tradeshows.
Leveraging 3D as brand differentiator was a key factor in Carlson's selection of Dopple. They knew no other competitor in their space was bringing life to their buyers experience like adding 3D would.
Carlson’s cases can be configured many different ways so Dopple was challenged to simplify their offering down to the most commonly built cases to provide the sellers with an easy path of recommendation for their potential customers.
Use 3D to sell technically complex products
Carlson was the most technically complex project Dopple has done to date.
There is a lot of engineering logic required to build a case and a lot of options cannot be paired together requiring extensive product knowledge needed to be able to begin the back end building process.
Carlson’s agency had to build logic into the user experience to get the experience to be usable with all the different combinations.
This project was unique because the configurators were built primarily as sales tools to support Carlson's
sellers in a B2B business environment that operates similarly to a dealer sales funnel.
Carlson used this first case to further sell the concept with results to their executive team.
The initiative was so successful that the Carlson Airflo team is working to secure future budget and resources to expand their entire catalogue of refrigeration units into 3D.
The long term vision is a collaboration between Carlson, Dopple, and their agency partners. The three parties are working to implement an experience where pricing will automatically update as the seller selects the options during their presentation. Sellers can easily send all of this combined order information to their team for simplified ordering and processing.
This is just the beginning of what is to come with this partnership. Dopple has been creating big impact in the areas of ease and convenience for sellers and their dealers with 3D experiences.
