Who is XTECH?

XTECH is pushing the boundaries of football protection for athletes at all levels: high school, college and professional.

the challenge

XTECH needed a solution that enabled them to showcase products in 3D to increase conversions, whilst also providing players with the chance to view products in a more life-like way pre-purchase.

By empowering customers to easily configure and visualize the custom-made pads, XTECH aimed for higher AOV as players began to purchase not only one specific item, but entire pad kits.

Project Goals

As a primarily online retailer, XTECH wanted an engaging way to demonstrate their high quality, made in USA products, while educating buyers on their pads. They wanted to empower buyers to evaluate how products fit together and can be worn inside and out.  

XTECH's primary goal was to transform their 2D configurator into a 3D configuration experience that would elevate the customer experience, drive increased conversions, and higher AOV by making it easy for users to add on accessories and buy their entire pad kits.

Dopple's Strategic Solutions

Dopple built a high fidelity, 3D product configurator with Augmented Reality for XTECH's line of football pads in all sizes with add on accessories included. Dopple built the ability to visualize the inside and outside of the pads to ensure maximum buyer confidence.

As a digital retailer with complex combinations of pads, XTECH needs an engaging experience to educate buyers on how to combine pads for the best fit. 

XTECH wanted to empower its audience - which includes everyone from teen athletes to NFL players - to choose the right combinations of products. In 2D, without that education, the conversion rate is low and users without confidence in their selections can result in abandoned carts.

Promoted on the XTECH homepage to drive 80% of traffic, the experience is integral to XTECH’s buying experience. 

XTECH planned their launch just before peak season to drive increased average order value and conversion in their most popular sets.
